Onstage Wānaka’s production of Blood Brothers, which opened on Friday, August 8, delivered a powerhouse performance that had the Lake Wānaka Centre audience on its feet in a well-deserved standing ovation. From the first note to the emotional finale, the cast and crew brought Willy Russell’s celebrated musical to life with exceptional talent, heart, and polish.
Onstage Wānaka’s Blood Brothers was not just a night of entertainment; it was an emotional journey, brilliantly performed and beautifully staged.
Loved the way the performers brought the props on/off the stage. No interruptions, very smooth. Singing magnificent, as well as the acting, both sad/funny, lighting excellent and wonderful costumes to fit the time period. Wonderful to have live music for the accompaniment. Very clever use of the sets. Just magnificent. Go Onstage Wānaka - can’t wait for your next production.

So professional travelled from Dunedin to see the show last Sunday and still cant believe how well preformed it was. The Live Music, stage props and backstage/ front of house volunteers also made this show the best I have been to in years.
